National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) was founded in 1963 as a collaborative effort between the Government of India and International Labour Organization.  NITIE prepares students for a seamless induction into industry and academia by blending management principles and technical skills.  NITIE has been providing solutions to the complex problems of industries.   Currently, NITIE is running four post graduate programs and a fellow research program.  Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (ISEM) program inculcates environmental thinking into business decision making.   From the ISEM program has emerged the  Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) – a Centre focused on research in ecosystems management, business development and policy making.
 
NITIE Invites Applications for the following posts under the
Centre for Environmental Studies (CES), 

Research Associate – 1

Job Profile  :  Writing reports, papers, articles, project proposals, carrying out literature survey, primary and secondary data collection, analysis and interpretation of data etc.

Essential Qualification & Experience :
Minimum qualification M.Sc. in Environmental Science/Engineering/Management, Ph.D. preferred.   Candidates with relevant experience in the above mentioned areas will be given preference.
 
Remuneration : 
Approx. consolidated salary of Rs. 20000/- per month (inclusive of HRA)  on temporary basis initially for a period of one year which may be extended on year to year basis subject to the satisfactory performance.

Technical cum Laboratory Assistant – 1

Job Profile :  Laboratory analysis, use and maintenance of instruments like TOC, GC etc., procurement of consumables, maintenance of labs, field work like sample collection, surveys, primary and secondary data collection, data entry etc.

Essential Qualification & Experience :
Minimum qualification B.Sc. in Environmental studies, Analytical Chemistry, M.Sc preferred.  Candidates with relevant experience will be given preference.

Remuneration :
Approx. consolidated salary of Rs. 12000/- per month (inclusive of HRA)  on temporary basis initially for a period of one year which may be extended on year to year basis subject to the satisfactory performance.

Secretary  – 1
  
Job Profile :  Communication, networking, maintenance of accounts, filing and maintenance of records, field work if required, data entry and analysis etc.

Essential Qualification & Experience :

Post Graduate in Commerce or MBA with 3 years relevant experience. Must have a sound working knowledge of MS Office with Excel and all its other applications and statistical packages.

Remuneration :

Approx. consolidated salary of Rs. 16000/-per month (inclusive of HRA) on temporary basis initially for a period of one year which may be extended on year to year basis subject to the satisfactory performance.

The employment is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project.
