Two Major works - one for the Academic-cum-library complex and the other for a 15 storeyed student hostel are going to be started very soon.

Perspective Plan

It envisages some major initiatives like establishment of various schools of Research and centres of Excellence. A proposal for making NITIE as University is already under consideration of the UGC. NITIE plans to focus on its extension and outreach activities so as to conduct detailed studies and to provide appropriate solutions to the problems faced by the community,particularly low income groups in urban as well as rural areas , and also to improve skills and efficiencies of artisan enterprises,cottage industries,agricultural business,thereby creating new income generating opportunities for unemployed youth.
