The content of
the PGDISEM course is designed to satisfy the industry’s needs, and is
constantly updated with inputs from alumni and industry. The course structure comprises
of 36 core courses, 4 electives and an 8-week summer project.
The core
Environmental Management courses such as Air Quality Management, Corporate
Environmental Management, Energy management, Environmental Economics,
Environmental Impact Assessment and Industrial Waste Water Management, along
with Safety Management courses such as Industrial Safety Management and
Industrial Ergonomics enable the students to understand and
address on organization’s Environment, Health and Safety requirements.
In addition,
courses like Business and Commercial laws, Environmental Legislations, Safety
and Health Standards and Legislations etc. make the future managers capable of
framing policies for the organization in the EHS domain thereby ensuring
compliance to audit systems like ISO and OHSAS series.
The general
management courses like Business Statistics, Managerial Finance, Marketing
Management and Principles of Organization and Management help the students
develop a holistic perspective about various business functions.
The array of
courses taught as part of the operations and SCM curriculum help the students
to gain expertise in different fields like procurement, materials management,
manufacturing, logistics and supply chain management.
The well
thought-out combination of these courses equips the students with the necessary
skills-set to lead in the transition to sustainable
business practices within corporates.
