TIFAC Core is a joint programme between Technology Information Forecasting & Assessment Council, Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India and National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai.

Facilities at TIFAC CORE
The laboratory is presently housed in the PG block of NITIE in a 2500 sq.ft area, with the facilities to conduct studies (applied research & industrial consultation) in the areas of anthropometry data base development, furniture evaluation of psychophysiological workload, manual material handling.
Important facilities present are,
Psychophysiological Monitor for EMG, EEG, ECG, EOG, oxygen consumption & cardio-resporatory parameters, treadmill, bicycle ergometer, antropometer, force platform, thermal, illumination and light intensity meters, environment measurement set and psychrometric chamber. The center is setting up its new facilities in an exclusive "center building" (15,000 sq.ft built up area) for carrying out the center's activities as stated in the objectives.
