UBP on Procurement for ITC Hotels

NITIE successfully conducted a 3-day Unit-Based training Programme (UBP) on "Procurement" for the dynamic group of procurement professionals working in India's leading hospitality group, ITC Hotels (24-26 Sep’19, Sheraton, New Delhi). Opening talks by the ITC Hotels Leadership team set the tone for the programme. Through a multidisciplinary approach towards capability building, the UBP highlighted the strategic importance of Procurement in the hospitality sector and focused on enhancing technical skills in procurement & people management skills to deal with stakeholders (e.g. vendors). Training include role playing, data analysis, strategy-mapping and team presentations.

Participant's speak

"The sessions were very engaging as each session had an activity in which groups had to participate

"Topics like negotiation and competitive priorities were most interesting & helped to know about the ignored side of the subject (like body language, types of power, product classification in Kraljic matrix.)

NITIE thanks ITC Hotels team for the warm hospitality & looks forward to more such programmes with the organization & industry.
