Organization Behavior and Human Resource Management
Effective people management plays a critical role in the success of every organization. The ability to collaborate, motivate, and lead is of paramount importance for managerial success. The mission of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Area of NITIE is to educate and develop these critical skills in future managers and employees of organizations. The Area also conducts cutting-edge research on topics that explore how human interactions can contribute to developing and sustaining effective and satisfying workplaces as well as employee well-being.The OB-HRM area also offers course on entrepreneurship, contributing to knowledge, skills and attitude needed to exercise general manager responsibilities as an entrepreneur as well as encouraging budding entrepreneurs.
The Area at NITIE is composed of faculty who are trained in psychology, management and labor relations. The faculty are active scholars, and many hold research and teaching awards. The Area faculty are active in professional organizations such as the Academy of Management, Society of Human Resource Management and International Society for Small Business & Enterprise,National Academy of Psychology and Indian Society of training & Development.
